I’ve been noticing this pattern the last few years.  Minnesota is supposedly known for people being “nice” to you, whether they in fact like you or not.  But October is when people break.  If they have a problem with you, or with the world in general, they’ll let you know.  You get snapped at.  You get attitude.  People take things out on you.  We can no longer pretend we live in a habitable climate.  We know that the running around is over and we’ll pick five or six people to stay connected to and essentially we hibernate.  But we still have to work and deal with the world.

Maybe it’s just me.  Maybe I open myself up to it, because I don’t live like everybody else and I’m always on the periphery of everything I come into contact with.  I’m not really a meaningful part of anything so people don’t mind pissing me off.   Or people don’t really know what I’m about so they assume I’m just like them but I’m doing it badly.

I supposedly have a “show” in about an hour.  It could be fine or it could be October.  Whatever.
